A Kore.ai team is a collaboration tool for a set of users who share an interest, to communicate and share information with each other. Kore.ai teams combine the exciting features of collaboration, message control, and bots, to provide an advanced, secure, and simple method to communicate with friends, family, and colleagues. Be it communicating with your workplace colleagues, or communicating with your book club members, you can use Kore.ai teams for communication in both company and personal Kore.ai accounts.
On-boarding as a Company User
If you are a new user for a company account using Kore.ai Messenger, when you log on for the first time, you will need to complete the Kore.ai Messenger on-boarding before you access the messaging application.
During the on-boarding, you will:
Choose your department - Select the company department that aligns mostly with your position, for example, IT, Marketing, or Sales. Choose Other if the listed departments do not match yours.
Join some teams - By default, your company team is required and already selected, however, if other teams are already established, the top teams related to your department are displayed. You can select as many teams to join as you desire.
Add some bots - You can optionally add bots that are related to your department. Your bots connect Kore.ai Messenger to other web services and allow you to communicate and interact with all of your third-party web services right from within Kore.ai Messenger to help you get you stuff done!
That's it. After you finish on-boarding, you are ready to use and customize Kore.ai Messenger with additional teams and bots as needed to help you communicate and interact with your company users and teams.
If you are a user with a personal Kore.ai account, you can create a team to get started with accessing teams, or you can accept any pending team invitations.
If you are a user with a company Kore.ai account, you can browse or search for Teams on your Kore.ai Messenger app by tapping Browse all teams on the Team screen. Enter keywords in the find-as-you-type Search Teams field, to search for teams that are enabled to be visible to all company users.
Note: Your Kore.ai Enterprise Administrator for your company may have setup Application Roles or Mobile Device Management used to limit the features or channels of the Kore.ai Messaging Platform. Some features or channels for Kore.ai Messenger may not be available.
On the Kore.ai Messenger Desktop for Web or the Desktop app, click TEAMS on the lefthand navigation bar to browse teams in your company.
Team Home Screen
The Team Home screen is a central location for you to access Rooms, Chats, and Files sections of the app.
On the Rooms tab, you can view all the rooms inside the team, and on the Chats tab you can view all the direct messages exchanged with team members. On the Files tab, view all the files shared inside rooms you can access.
Tap the Manage icon to view options to mute the team, view members of the room, invite new members, and to view the team owner.
Note: The options displayed in the Manage < Team Name > screen depend upon your role as a team admin, owner, or member.
The Kore.ai Messenger Desktop for Web and the Desktop app have a similar Team Home page layout. You can view and add rooms on the Rooms tab of the Teams page, and you can view and create chat messages on the Chats tab. You can view people, bots, and room settings by clicking Manage Room at the top right corner of the page.
