Modify an Existing Messaging Rule

Complete the steps in the following procedure to modify the settings for an existing messaging rule in the Message Control module on the Messaging Rules page in the Kore.ai Enterprise Admin Console. If you need to define a new messaging rule, see Create a User to User Messaging Rule.

  1. In the Message Control module, on the Messaging Rules page, in the Messaging Rule Name column, click the name of the messaging rule to modify. The Edit Rule page is displayed.
  2. In the Name your Rule field, you can modify the name of the rule displayed to the Kore.ai Messenger user or group.
  3. Optionally, in the Describe your Rule field, enter or modify a description of the rule.
  4. In the Recipient Type section, select User or Distribution List.
  5. In the Build Your rule section, in the Select Sender field, click the Add Sender  icon to open the Select User(s) dialog.
  6. On the Users tab, select the message senders for the rule, and then click Done. For more information, see Selecting Users.

    To remove one or more users, click the Delete  icon next to each user name to delete that user, or click the Delete All  icon to delete all users in that section.
  1. In the Build Your Rule section, in the Select Recipient field, click the Add Recipient  icon to open the Select User(s) dialog.
  2. On the Users, and Other Options tab, select the message recipients for the rule, and then click Done. For more information, see Selecting Users.

    To remove one or more users, click the Delete  icon next to each user name to delete that user, or click the Delete All  icon to delete all users in that section.
  1. In the Apply this Message Control Template drop-down list, you can modify the message control template that the messaging rule applies to, and then click Save Rule.
  2. Click Save Rule.

If there are any conflicts in messaging rules between messaging rules for the current Sender-Recipient combination and the new messaging rule, the Conflict detected in Messaging Rules dialog is displayed, otherwise the messaging rule is saved and the list of messaging rules is displayed.
